    I have a new member of the family. Her name is Princess. We live in Alaska. Princess,gose outside and comes back in with black mess in the corner of her eyes. What do I us to clean her eyes without hurting or frightingher?

    You can use a warm, wet washcloth to wipe her eyes. If you want to use a saline solution, such as Opticlear made by Tomlyn, you can. If the discharge ever becomes green, it is time to take her to the vet as she may have an eye infection.
