Snow Nose

snow-nose-2

Snow, or winter nose, is a temporary loss of pigment (color) in the center of a dog’s nose. This is most common in dogs with dark noses as a pink or light brown strip develops along the center of the nose, with the outer edges remaining black. While the appearance of snow nose can be alarming, it is not a condition to worry about. The color usually returns in warmer months when there is more daylight available.
